The Mesozoic Era was the age of reptiles. Mammals and birds had yet to emerge completely and dinosaurs were quick to dominate the Earth. It began 250 million years ago, continuing until 65 million years ago. It is divided into three periods. The earliest, Triassic Period saw the birth of many new species. The middle, Jurrasic Period saw the dinosaurs and vegetation at their best. The last, Cretaceous Period marked the fall of the dinosaurs. |
